4. You may not sleep with a baby beside you after you’ve been drinking.

5. When the baby is exposed to alcohol through breast milk; the side effect on the baby may be drowsiness, deep sleep, weakness, abnormal weight gain and retardation of mental and motor development. So, it’s wise to breastfeed the baby straight before consuming alcohol. You better express some additional milk if you plan to drink a lot of alcohol. But the best thing for a heavy drinker mother is totally avoid alcohol while breastfeeding until the baby is weaned.

6. If you have more than 2 standard drinks, skip breastfeeding for 6 hours. But if you feel really drunk or even vomiting, it’s better not to breastfeed for 12 hours.

They tell you that you have to wait 12 months before you can become pregnant. Let us further suppose that after waiting 12 months it takes you three more months to conceive. Afterward, assuming you are human, we have another 9 months of pregnancy. There is a total of 24 months that you paid $4,800 extra for in premiums. The plan might have deductibles and coinsurance of another $2,500 to $5,000. The cost for having a baby with health insurance is $7,300 to $9,800. If it takes longer to conceive, the bill goes up.

What most people do not know is that complications to pregnancy are covered by most health insurance plans even if you do not have maternity coverage. So, the hospital portion of a c-section is covered regardless. Look at all of the restrictions maternity insurance coverage puts upon you:

• You cannot become pregnant for up to a year and if you do you forfeit the maternity coverage.
• You still pay somewhere between $7,000 and $10,000 out of pocket with the coverage.

Group Health Insurance - Just about all group health insurance plans cover maternity. If you are self-employed it can be difficult to find a true group health insurance plan. We do have information for Group of One health insurance plans that are available in about 15 states. They cover maternity and, if you currently have health insurance, will cover you even if you are already pregnant.

Actually cheap diapers or expensive diapers depend on someone’s affordability. In this article I highlight expensive diapers as branded diapers like Huggies, Mamy Poko or Pampers (that’s the diapers brands available in my country)as well as cheap diapers as unbranded ones which locally produced in my country.

My first daughter is now 5 years old and his brother is 2 years. During past 5 years, I’ve tried many brands of diapers and found that branded diapers have very much better quality than the cheap diapers. (Sure, that’s why they cost higher ^-^).

Branded diapers usually made of cloth which allows air circulation and do not cause diaper rash. They can also keep dry for a longer time than the cheap diapers as they can absorb more liquid. On the other hand, cheaper diapers usually made of plastics. In a tropical country like mine, plastic made diapers will give baby unpleasant feeling.

However, as I recalculated my expenses, I found an interesting fact. Cheap diapers are not always cheap. Why? Because when I used cheap diapers, I need to change the diapers 6-8 times a day to make my baby’s bottom stay dry. Otherwise if I use the branded ones, I only consumed 3-4 diapers a day. So, by the time I found this fact, I decided to use branded diapers which are usually cost higher.

My favorite brand is Pampers Active Baby. Although this brand is not the most expensive diapers sold in the market, one thing I love from this product is the elastic band which can fit well on my son’s waist. I still can’t found this unique feature in another brand sold in my country.

However, choosing branded diapers does not mean I have to spend much money. Although I can afford to buy the most expensive diapers available in the market, I think I always have to make savings for other important budget like health and education. So, I have a certain way to get branded but cheap diapers every time I purchase this item.

In my city, there are many hypermarkets like Carrefour or Giant. Those outlets always offer many discounted items every weekend and advertise on the newspaper every Friday. So, every time I need to buy diapers, I will search on Friday’s newspaper to see in which store my cheap diapers are sold ^-^. Once I found the stores, I told my husband who works as a sales supervisor in high class outlets to purchase the diapers. We usually buy 3-4 packs for one month stock. I’m not always finding my favorite Pampers Active Baby, but I usually find other branded diapers like Mamy Poko or Huggies.

So, as there many kinds of diapers available, you’re freely choose cheap diapers or expensive diapers. But according to my experience, there are always added value for high cost products and consequences for cheaper ones.

Every country will have different ways of selling products. By searching on the internet, I notice there are certain coupons which make you possible to get Pampers or Huggies with discounted price. Or maybe you can find stores which offer diapers in bulk (there is no such store in my country, maybe there is one in yours). Buying products in bulk will usually cheaper, but remember to buy diapers in mixed size because babies growth fast.
